What we do and who we do it for

Capital protection advisory for families and business owners across Western Kenya.

Forestvoyagex provides independent capital protection advisory to individuals, families, and business owners who have accumulated meaningful assets and want to keep them intact across time. We are not a bank, an insurer, or a fund manager. We are advisers whose only product is counsel. Our work covers four connected disciplines: risk management, insurance wrapper design, protective legal structures, and long-term fiduciary advisory. Clients come to us at inflection points — a business sale, an inheritance, a large land transaction, a retirement — and we help them make decisions that will still look sensible in twenty years. We serve clients primarily across Kakamega County and the wider Western Kenya region, and we can work with clients in Kisumu, Eldoret, and Nairobi where the engagement warrants it. Our minimum asset threshold is KSh 3,000,000, which allows us to deliver genuinely bespoke work rather than off-the-shelf products.

How we work — and what we do not do

Honest about our scope so you know exactly what you are engaging.

Forestvoyagex was founded in 2017 by advisers who had spent combined careers watching well-intentioned clients lose capital not to bad markets but to bad advice: unsuitable products, undisclosed commissions, and structures designed for the adviser's tax bill rather than the client's security. Our founding principle is simple: every recommendation must be defensible if you asked us to justify it in front of an independent third party. In practice, that means we charge fee-only, we document our reasoning, and we decline work where we do not have genuine expertise. We do not provide tax filing services, legal conveyancing, or active portfolio management — for those we refer to trusted practitioners in our professional network. We are also candid about what capital protection cannot do: it cannot insulate you entirely from economic downturns, currency depreciation, or prolonged inflation. What it can do is make sure those scenarios are planned for rather than discovered in the moment. After seven years serving Western Kenya, we have worked through approximately 140 client engagements. Most of our new clients arrive through referral from existing ones — which is how we prefer to grow.

A word from a long-standing client

“I have recommended Forestvoyagex to four other business owners in Kakamega. Not because I was asked to, but because the fee-only model and the honest advice made a real difference when we were restructuring after a difficult year. They told us things we didn't want to hear, and they were right.”
